Birthday Shoot with Mom
So Xam turned 7 months last weekend. As is our custom, nanay will usually bake a cake (though no one but her eats it), and we would do a "shoot". In the past few months, they have all been casual photos using my trusty little Canon S1. However, I did ask for strobes for Christmas with the excuse to properly photograph Xam instead of paying studio prices, but it has been relegated to the basement by my neat-freak husband since June (Baptism shoot). I haven't found the motivation to dust them off and set them up again, that is, until this month.
So we started setting them up last Sunday - but as it is unplanned, nothing was really accomplished. My husband, good at cleaning up my junk, has packed them up so well, that I can't seem to find important items like my light meter, sync cords and infrared slave. To compound the problem, my digital camera battery is dead and needed to be re-charged. Poor Xam, all dressed up and energetic, we had no choice but to cancel and re-schedule.
Three days later, we're back. Batteries charged, boxes opened, and accessories found! A cute, little dressed up baby and voila! a recipe for cute pictures...
I am a little proud of the final product, Xam at 7 months...
